I am writing today to invite you to our next Excellence in Large Class Teaching Community of Practice meeting. We had a productive meeting in October on the topic of evaluations in large classes, and would like to continue that momentum with another meeting in December.
At this meeting, we will be screening a video about best practices in large class teaching. This will be followed by a discussion. Movie snacks, cold drinks, and coffee/tea will be served.
Even if you have been unable to join us in the past, we look forward to welcoming you. The Excellence in Large Class Teaching Community of Practice is a group of part-time and full-time professors who are interested in sharing best practices about large-class teaching, discussing common challenges, and working together to brainstorm solutions.
The details of the event appear below:
Date: Monday, December 14th, 2015
Time: 2:30pm – 4:00pm
Room: VNR1042, University of Ottawa
Please email email@example.com to confirm your attendance. To ensure we have enough room and food for everyone, you must RSVP in advance in order to attend the event.
I look forward to seeing you again and working together to improve teaching in the large class at the University of Ottawa!
